In 1981 they started online newspapers in San Francisco. Interesting enough little video clip below, but the 'punchline' is the final statement at the end regarding time and cost!
It seems no one was really expecting the internet to take off quite the way it has back then. Now it's not just online newspapers but online learning, online shopping, e-mail (how long will it be before postal workers are out of a job?), chatting and on and on. It seems there is no limit! It's incredible how far we've come in less than 30 years. The cost and time part was pretty funny considering that now it only takes a few seconds to download an entire newspaper. wow!
